Privacy Policy

Meowa.app ("we", "us") runs the free online game at https://meowa.app and its apps. This policy explains what data the game uses, why, and the choices you have. You don't need an account to play, and we never ask for your email, real name or phone number. We don't sell your data.

Data kept on your device

The game saves these in your browser's storage (or the app's storage): the nickname you type, the flag you pick, language, fish, best score, sound and graphics settings, tutorial progress, ad counters and a random player ID. They stay on your device; clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app deletes them.

Data sent to our server while you play

What our server stores, and for how long

We do not store your IP address. It is needed to connect, and our hosting and Cloudflare process it to deliver the game and protect it from abuse.

Advertising

The game is free thanks to ads: on the web through Google AdSense (H5 Games Ads), in the apps through Google AdMob. Some games start after an ad. Google and its partners use cookies and device identifiers to show ads, measure them, prevent fraud and, where allowed, personalise them based on your visits to this and other sites.

We count ad events only as daily totals per country (see above).

Services we use

These providers may process data outside your country.

Legal bases (EEA, UK)

Running the game, keeping records and statistics and protecting the service rely on our legitimate interest in providing a working, fair game. Personalised advertising and the cookies it uses rely on your consent where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us to access or delete data about you, for example to remove your hall-of-fame entry, and you can object to processing. Write to [email protected] with your nickname and roughly when you played: we don't know who you are, so that is how we find your data. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Meowa.app is a game for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA), and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will update this page when the game changes how it uses data, and change the date below.
